Gloomy weather in Gloucester, MA always make me happy because it makes for even better photos!

Nearly every time I pass through Lincoln, VT I have to stop at this beautiful barn and see what the sky and light looks like. The view from this hill is topnotch and one of my favorite spots for panoramas. If I ever get a GigaPan mount this is the first place I’m heading.

A catalog shoot brought me to New Haven, VT and the view from the garage at the client’s home was downright incredible.

Nature photography is often a waiting game and if one is to be serious about it you’ll need lots of patience and persistence.

There are days that you don’t photograph much and some times nothing living at all. When you are lucky enough to finally see wildlife that you want to photograph you usually have to sit still and wait (and hope) it’ll get close enough, stand in a good position, and/or be where you want it (or need it) to be for the best shot. It’s never easy.

At least here in Vermont the scenery itself is a reward.
